In contrast to the ginger hue of the molly's pelt, bounced a lavender ball of light. It seemed to swirl around her body, bobbing and weaving with the feline in some sort of silent dance. Laughter bubbled out of the molly's maw as her brilliant cut in front of her yellow eyes, momentarily blinding her with its brightness. "Oh you know better..." She purred, her voice light and airy.
To their right a stick snapped, and the small orb darted under a feathery white wing. Honeystar laughed once more, sensing no danger and finding a moment of humor in her companion's fear. Lifting the white appendage into the air, she clucked at the colored orb as it floated out into the open. "Nothing but a squirrel I'm sure." Her voice was motherly and warm, coating the air in a calming presence.
A small smile tugged at her maw as she stared at the tree in front of them. It was one of the larger at the edge of the forest, and would do well for today's flight. Her powerful legs gave her a boost, as white tipped paws grasped for bark and her claws dug in. With ease she scaled the tall white tree, searching for a limb that would let her clear most of the leaves that still clung to their branches.
As she found the perfect branch, her paws took her cautiously to the edge of it. With a deep breath she closed her eyes, before jumping into the air. Wings tucked close to her body as she pointed herself into a dive. As the pair neared the ground she quickly let her wings expand, saving them from a most gruesome death.
Powerful sweeping motions brought her higher into the air, her yellow eyes fanning across the beautiful flowers. They reminded her much of her brilliant who kept pace at her side. This was her peace, and also her rush. As she soared in the air, her eyes spotted an area where plants wiggled to and fro. It was much to large to be prey, though not big enough to be predator. "Should we go investigate my dear?" Aiming the question towards one who could not answer meant she would not be disappointed in the outcome.
A smile, and the chase was on. Changing her angle, she took a slight descent, calling out to whomever was below. "And just what do you think you're doing on this fine day?"
